Join the The 519 to commemorate the 27th anniversary of the Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR). It’s a day to honour the lives of the Two-Spirit, trans, and non-binary siblings we have lost to transphobia, hate crimes, illness, substance use, suicide, misogyny, institutional and legislative violence, and murder. We'll honour these lives with a vigil, fellowship dinner, community celebration, and more. This year’s theme for The 519’s TDoR event is “50 years of fierce love and solidarity.” As we celebrate 50 years of The 519, we honour all the trans leaders, staff, and community members who have poured their love, wisdom, rage, hope, and care into The 519 over the past five decades to foster a space where love and solidarity fiercely exist every day. The event is free and open to all. RSVP is recommended to help us track anticipated numbers. You can also share access needs and/or request childminding during the event.
